8 hours in the shoes of a salesman - Part 3

Feb 25, 2012 (Saturday) and Feb 26, 2012 (Sunday)

5th, 6th and 7th hours

I visited the stall around 6 pm but it wasn't in the place yet. Ten minutes later, the slaesman was bringing his hand cart of his stall. The moment he came customers placed their orders and were patiently waiting for him to set up the stall.

As it was a weekend, there was a crowd which constituted even students from ITM, which helped me to interact with them regarding the quality of the food served there.

Many gave positive feedback and i reported the same to the salesman. In addition, i spread the news of the stall to fellow friends and students and brought in new customers to the shop which increased their customer base.

Sales increased with increasing customers just by word of mouth. The salesman didn't do any magic everyday and it was all during the initial phase of their sales that he established himself and people automatically helped increase his sales.

The only time his sales were affected was during the monsoons when he had to shut down his business and take a long gap. He had a predefined quota for everyday. The quota or the limit exactly got over at the exact time at around 1030pm everyday. So he is maintaining the sales and the quota everyday althroughout the year.
