“A day in the shoes of a salesman”
As I had to spend a whole day with a person who is involved in selling, I contacted to Neha’s Beauty Parlour, Goregaon (West). I explained the lady why I wanted to spend time with her. Her first reaction was negation. I had to convince her a lot that I just want to learn and I don’t want anything in return. After talking a lot she agreed as I also did 3 months training of self course in beauty parlour. She called me on Sunday, I assured her that I will help her.
On Sunday i.e. 12th of February I reached her place. She gave me an apron too so that I also look like them. When I entered parlour, it was almost empty. Only staff was there, they all cleaned mirrors, floor and arranged all the stuff. I helped in small works. Then crowd started to come as it was Sunday and Valentines day was near so every girl wanted to look pretty. There were few trainees also in the staff, they were very nervous seeing so many women. I was looking how professionally they all were involved in their work and all had a habit of probing and interacting with their customers while cutting their hair, or doing anything which they want. This is why because of such maintenance of relations most of the women go to the same parlour always. Actually every person in the staff was selling their quality, their cosmetic products and themselves to the customers. They had beautiful trick of convincing others. After two hours I returned from there thanking all of them, they encouraged my interest in learning and yes it was a great learning. Its time to say “HUM SAB SELLU HAI”
