Started with the example of M.S.Dhoni, as he is a selu of
leadership, the concept is he has succeeded by selling his leadership skills.
There was a point raised for selling exercise, everyone was
only focusing on discounts and prices only but we were guided to look other
aspects for sales.
Than few of them shared their experiences of the activity of
two hours in the shoes of sales man:
Examples:
·
Panwala – This example was shared by Abhishek
and he said that it is necessary to make a personal connect with the customers.
·
Shoppers stop – This example was shared by Nikky
where she interacted with customer as a friend and we got an advice that while
selling we need to be more professional.
·
Frankiewala – This example was shared by Karan
where sales man said a word “Chalte-Raho” always move on never stop on the
hurdles.
Discussion on Managing Channels:
Dependence on IT has a lot of impact on the complete system,
and a useful point was made, that there should be human intervention.
Few good examples of innovative things were discussed like:
·
Shree Leather – Category Killer
With good promotion mix, innovative strategy to attract
customer that buy 12 things and on the average price of the products get a
product free of that price range.
·
Daily Bazar – Lucky name on Sunday gets the
entire products for free.

necessary but along with that it is necessary to empathize with the
