One day in the shoe of a salesman

Coffee...Coffee….coffee…..This was one thing I badly needed after having attended classes for the entire day.  And the only place that came to my mind was TY….. And hence I made way towards it.

I placed my order and was waiting for it to arrive, but suddenly something caught my attention. It was the Valentine Offer- 40% discount on orders above 300 and a surprise free gift, which interested me all the more. I, then, walked up to the one sitting at the reception desk if he could answer certain questions that had filled by mind, by now.  He agreed to help me out and also reveal the mystery of the SURPRISE gift.  While discussing about it, he also showed me his personal photo collection and also what other strategies he had followed to attract more customers or even retain them. Our conversation lasted for almost 2 hours till a customer called him for their gift…. N finally I got to know what the surprise gift was…. It was a collage….. With pictures of the couple.  Wow….  Another thing which increased my inclination towards the cafe… and gave me yet another reason to come back to the cafe.

I was brought back from my thoughts from a sudden call by a waiter who asked me to pay my part of the bill. Little did I realize that engrossed in my conversation, I had increased my share of the bill.  Yet another strategy…..

With a smile and some important lessons in mind…..I paid my bill and left the place…….
