EK SALES MAN KI GATHA
Aroof Khan age 22 yr, Salesman, VIP Luggages at SHOPPERS STOP.
Aroof is working in retail industries for last three years with different brands as a brand promoter and currently working in SHOPPERES STOP. He has  done his graduation in commerce. Apart from salary he gets incentives on sale of a certain no of bags. As he is in luggages section wherein there are many other brands are available like Tomi Hilfiger, Samsonite, American Tourist, Fast track etc with their respective sales person, he has to work hard (sales) in order to get high bonus.

When a customer comes to his section he welcomes with smile as all salesmen do. Then he first shows  
the bag that is demanded by the customer and immediately he pulls out all types of bags of his brand and try to take extra time of the customer. Ones a customer comes to his section, he never let him go for other brands if a customer really want to buy someone. In this way he try to confuse the customer that customer couldnt think for another brand.
For example, a customer comes to buy a VIP bag. Sales man will show all bags of the same brand. If the customer says that show me some Samsonite bags which are comparatively high rang products but few are of medium costs too, the sales man will only show the bag (samsonite) that is very costly so customer refused to take it. And in case a customer demands for Fast track bag that is relatively cheaper than VIP, salesman will show only lower quality bag (fast track) that again cause a refusal from customer. In this way he try to sale out his brand.
[NOTE:- Only one salesman is allowed to attend one customer at a time, no one can interrupt him in between.]
Sometimes they use negative practices too like criticism of other brands, rarely. They always talk about
superiority of their brands, they never talk what is best in other brands.
He says that it is not easy to convert each customer into your brand as customers are more aware about all brands now a days and they do inquiry about all brands.
For whole day they have to keep smile on their face. Many customers come to mall only for enjoyment and not for shopping and they ask salesman to show this one that one and salesmen have to done this with a smiley face.
