“Selling is an art, u can’t learn from anybody. Different products requires different strategies”
This is the quote from a man who has never gone to school. Literally, I was amazed to hear this line from a person who has done his study till 7th standard in a small village of Mirzapur.
Sunil Pathak came in Mumbai when he was 17 years old; his father had a small PANIPURI stall in Malad (w), Mumbai. When he was asked why he joined the same business as his father? The answer was: he wanted to expand his father business, and pass the legacy to his sons who are now studying in a good English medium school. It is hard to imagine in this era where a son is not ashamed of his father business and upon that he wants to expand it.
Sunil said “the key to this business is fast service” no matter how bad your PANIPURI is you have to serve it fast. He started working with his father when he was 17 and learned it himself all alone and now he has a small shop where he serves other fast food which MUMBAIKAR’s love. Though the monthly income from the business is around Rs. 11,000 he has that hunger to grow. He believes that customer’s feedback is the only way to learn, (which means that CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT). When you hear such comment from a PANIPURIWALA where he talks about service quality and consumer behavior, I came to a conclusion that “MANAGEMENT IS AN ART WHICH EVERY LIVING THING HAS”
