Its my
experience with a salesman in shoppers stop . The boys name is hamid khan, he
is sales person in ladies bags department in Shoppers Stop. His work
time is morning 10.30 to 8.30 pm. He gets 3 breaks of total 2 hrs in a day.
Whenever a customer comes, he has to attend him with a smiley face and
wish him/her like good morning sir! Usually interaction with customer starts with a question raised either by customer like where is pure leather bags or by salesman like yes sir, what are you looking for?

Hamid has to
be with the customer till the time customer is in the department weather he
buys or not. To take extra time of customer he starts showing all the bags over
the time, he removes out the packed stuff from the bags and show the the
pockets in the bag. He describes bags properties like its washable, it has for
compartments, it will give excellence service etc., meanwhile he persuades the
customer to buy some thing. He asks some questions like sir are you buying for
yourself or u wanna gift it to someone? “Sir these are new arrivals, these are
pure leather bags, here are some special offers” etc are some famous sentences
used by hamid to attract the customers.
Customers keep
asking questions like how much discount on this, which is this brands even it
is clearly mentioned over the bag. But without showing his emotions
(irritation), hamid does his job very efficiently.
During the
working hours hamid is not allowed to sit not even for 10 minutes. Manager
keeps close eye on him and keep forcing him to sale sale. Sometime he has to
attain a certain target like he has to sale 55 bags in a day. He has a lot of
pressure whole day. Irrespective of all these he carries a smile on his face and
does his job honestly.
