I am going to share with you guys a story of a salesman "SUMIT SONAVANE". He works as a worker in a shop in our ITM's hostel premises. I see him almost every day doing his job. He is just a regular guy who supports his family comprising of 5 members.
He was an average student during his school days but he couldn't study after 10th standard due to low family income. So he got into this job. Before working here, he roamed around a lot in Kharghar area in search of a job. He went to each shop in the Hiranandani area but couldn't get lucky. Than one fine day he went to the owner of our college's canteen and got a job as a worker in the shop in ITM's hostel.
Although he is not a MBA neither he holds any degree in management but with my own experience I can tell you people that he is a very good salesman. He doesn't sell any big brands. Most items are eatable or daily needs like maggie, chips, cookies, drinks, coffee, tea, chocolates and some basic stationary items like pens, notebooks, etc. He earns around 6 to 8 thousand per month with the help of which he supports his family.
He is a very dedicated salesman and all his customers who are my batch-mates residing in the hostel are very satisfied with the services he provides. He also give items on credit and maintains a proper record for the same.
One thing I have learned from Sumit that whatever work we get, we should respect it and perform our job with full dedication and be loyal to whatever we do.
