First 2 hours in t the shoe of a salesman
Not exactly 2 hours, but initiated the process today. It was the same person whom i mentioned in my previous post - Esakki, the guy who works part time in a street side dosa wala shop.
For the first few minutes, i looked at the way he was getting orders from the people and prepared dosa. There was one more guy in the shop who didn't even allow me to talk to this salesman for reasons of being disturbed and slowing down the business. So i silently watched at the crowd coming in.
I decided to get into action then. I helped esakki by asking the customers what they wanted. I tried to manage the crowd by asking them what they wanted and somehow remembered the orders and asked esakki to prepare dosa accordingly.
There were different varieties of dosa and if something works out he tries out new varieties every month.
The other helper in the shop was helping the customers with serving and i took orders and was transferring the info to esakki-the cook. This made him work faster and he was able to deliver faster.
Whenever i found a comfortable customer, i asked reviews from them regarding the quality of the food served and everyone gave positive comments.
It was altogether a nice start. Hope to experience better in the forthcoming weeks.
