One Day in the Shoes Of a Salesman

I chose my nearby kirana store to observe and analyse the sales process she does everyday . There is this woman around 50 who stays over there most of the time, sometimes her husband or her son handles the shop. Mostly I buy milk, some biscuits and products of daily use.
She is a very kind woman usually addresses me by calling me “Beta”. She also
talks to me politely and enquires  whether everything is fine with me or not. I
visit this store every alternate day. When I enquired her about how many customers visit the store daily, she replied that there are approximately 80-100 customers who visit her store. Mostly the customers who visit her store are students and some local people.
In the two hours that I sat with her, I observed her behaviour. I observed that she handles her customers really well even if there is rush in her store. She remains calm and tries to deliver the products to the customers as soon as possible as customers don’t like to wait and are usually in a rush. She doesn’t lose her patience even if there are customers who keep on irritating and asking her to fasten up the work.
The quality of a salesman is to remain calm and never dissatisfy his customers. She tries her best to do that. She never shows any grin or disappointment on her face and tries to fulfil the requirements of her customers even if the customers are impatient and keep on nagging for faster service.
